TECHNOLOGY

DRIVER PERSONALIZATION SYSTEM

Cutting-edge facial recognition technology recognises each driver and automatically adjusts to your preferences.

MAZDA INTELLIGENT DRIVE SELECT (MI-DRIVE)

Drive your way with Mi-Drive. Peak performance, simplified. Whether you’re navigating winding roads or cruising city streets, Mazda Mi-Drive modes empower you to take control of every journey.

SECOND ROW LIVING SPACE

Two separate captain seats with a console in the middle. Wide vehicle architecture which ensures ample cabin width and comfortable living space.

PERFORMANCE

e-SKYACTIV PHEV

Flexibility of electric and petrol working together. Power and pleasure driving in EV Mode. Easy charging at home or public charging stations.

Regenerative System

A braking system that combines friction brakes and motor energy regeneration to provide the desired braking force while efficiently recovering energy.

Kinematic Posture Control

KPC cleverly employs the brakes to stabilize the car during turns and rough terrains, ensuring a smooth and confident driving experience for the passengers.

8 Speed Automatic Transmission

The powerplant in the CX-80 is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that uses a clutch instead of a torque converter. This setup allows for a more direct transfer of torque from the engine and motor, leading to quick and responsive shifts similar to a manual gearbox.

SAFETY

DRIVER MONITORING

Driver Monitoring is a system which detects driver fatigue and sleepiness, and encourages the driver to take a rest. The system then estimates the amount of accumulated fatigue and sleepiness of the driver and encourages the driver to take a rest using a warning indication in the instrument cluster and a warning sound.

BLIND SPOT MONITORING AND REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (BSM & RCTA)

BSM and RCTA use the same sensor to alert the driver when detecting vehicles approaching from the rear and both sides of the blind spot. RCTA is active when the car is in reverse. Warnings are provided through blinking indicators on the side mirrors and through sound.

CRUISING AND TRAFFIC SUPPORT (CTS)

CTS is a system consisting of acceleration control function and steering assist function to reduce driver fatigue when driving on freeways or highways. The system performs acceleration control to maintain a constant distance between your vehicle and the one in front at a predetermined speed without you having to use the gas pedal or brakes.
